University of Minnesota Sports Management Program Best for Distance Learners
The University of Minnesota Crookston has been named the best online school for its Bachelor in Sports Management Degree Program.
The top list, released by Online-Bachelor-Degrees.com, ranked twenty institutes across the country that provide the best sport management programs for distance learners.
The University of Minnesota Crookston ranked first for its online Bachelor in Sport and Recreation Management, which prepares students for careers with professional, collegiate, and community sports organizations. The program has an acceptance rate of 72 percent and retention rate of 66 percent.
The website used factors like nature and quality of sports curriculum, online availability, retention rate and success at putting students in touch with professional peer networks to gain real-world experiences to complete the rankings.
Troy University ranked second for its online Bachelor in Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management which trains students in facility management, event management, and organizational behavior. It has an acceptance rate of 91.9 percent and a retention rate of 79 percent.
“The sports industry is in constant need of managers, coaches, administrators, accountants, and executives. These individuals immerse themselves in an area that they are passionate about and make a nice salary doing so. Undergraduate students in the sports management major go on to achieve their dreams!” lead researcher and writer, Rowan Jones said.
The other eight institutions that placed in the top 10 best online schools, in order of their ranking, are the University of Florida, Florida International University, Southern New Hampshire University, Wilmington University, Toccoa Falls College, Bellevue University, Averett University, and Davenport University.
