St. George’s and Evergreen College Announce Combined Medical Degree Program
Thanks to a new combined degree program, the undergraduate applicants at the Evergreen College will have a chance to receive an admission offer simultaneously from the medical or veterinary schools at St. George’s University.
The medical students will complete two years of their compulsory medical training at the St. George’s Grenada campus and for next two years, they can undertake clinical training at any affiliated hospitals of the university.
The veterinary students will study at the Grenada campus for three years and spend a final clinical year at its affiliated universities in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or United Kingdom.
“We look forward to welcoming Evergreen’s best and brightest to our campus in Grenada,” said Dr. G. Richard Olds, President and CEO of St. George’s University.
“This new partnership will allow promising students to start working toward careers in medicine or veterinary science from their very first day as undergraduates.”
The students who are interested in the program have to first apply with the Evergreen College and later the university will select the candidates in consultation with the college after conducting the interviews. The students have to maintain an average grade point of 3.2 and more.
